Chix’s Cheap ~ Chixen Rice Bake

As you all know eating is well ~ expensive at time. So hear is a quick recipe that makes a TON of servings. I feed 3 college kids on it ~ 2 servings each!

Chix’s Cheap ~ Chixen Rice Bake (w/ left over Veggie Broth)

• 2 1/2 cups rice
• 2 large chicken breasts (cut into bit size pieces)
• 3 medium size yellow potatoes
• 1 yellow onion
• 2 large carrots
• 1 can of cream of chicken soup
• 1/2 cup of Italian dressing
• to flavor ~ salt,pepper,paprika, ms dash

Directions:

Preheat Open to 350

Chop up your veggies and boil them with some salt, pepper, paperka and even a touch of Ms. Dash.

Soak and clean rice ~ then boil rice till tender.

Drain your cooked veggies (I use a collender inside a bigger bowl) DO NOT TOSS THE WATER OUT! Instead pour it into a jar and use as a veggie stock for YUMMY dishes. I keep mine for a max of 3 days.

Place chicken and veggies in a BIG glass baking dish with some Italian dressing ~ bake for 15 mins.

Once it done toss with rice and a can of cream of chicken soup. Bake for another 10 mins or so.

Servings : 6

VERY Yummy and CHEAP! Keeps well also if you have less people and have leftovers.

Also you can cut it down to what you need ~ 1 cup of rice is more than enough for one person (1 and a 1/2 if your REALLY hungry).

Swagbucks

I have been hearing a LOT of buzz around Swagbucks. Personally I thought them to be a scam and have spent the better part of the week reading up on them and giving them a test drive.

They are legit but I don’t find their “search” all that great. I prefer google but will use them every 3-4 hours to try and get some “swagbucks”. Best approach I have seen while doing it is pop in and do some searching until I get the “found some swagbucks” image telling me I have earned one. Then come back 3-4 hours later and try again. Anything more and you are wasting your time.

The best points come from the SwagCodes or Offers. You can find the codes on their site/newsletters/twitter ~ Engineer a Debt Free Life has a whole section about them and how to find them.

The prizes are pretty “blah” aside from the gift cards! I’m working on my first $5 to Amazon
